Frequently asked questions

What does Digital Hosting Services do?

We are a York-based hosting and IT infrastructure provider. We host business websites and applications, run managed cloud and dedicated servers, and provide 24/7 security monitoring and immutable UK backups for organisations across the UK.

Where is my data stored?

In UK data centres only. Backups are replicated to a second, separate UK site, and your data never leaves the UK unless you ask it to.

Which businesses do you work with?

Mid-sized and large organisations that need accountable, SLA-backed infrastructure — including professional services, manufacturing, retail, education and public-sector suppliers.

How much does enterprise hosting cost?

Plans start at £149 per month for Business Hosting, £349 for VPS, £849 for Dedicated Servers and from £1,500 for Managed Cloud. All prices are in GBP excluding VAT.

What uptime do you guarantee?

Contractual SLAs from 99.9% to 99.99% depending on the plan, with service credits if we miss them.

Do you offer on-site support nationwide?

Yes. Our engineers are based in York and travel to sites anywhere in the UK for installations, audits and incidents, as part of a support contract or as a quoted visit.

Can you take over from our current provider?

Yes. We plan and run the migration, test everything before cut-over and switch over out of hours, so your teams see no disruption.

How quickly do you respond to issues?

Critical incidents are picked up by an engineer within 15 minutes, 24/7, on our managed plans.
